Hi! My name is Ikram Nur Muharam. Currently I am doing a PhD under the supervision of Professor Iis Tussyadiah and Dr Albert Kimbu in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Surrey, UK, supported by the Indonesian Government through LPDP Scholarship Programme. My research is about blockchain-based sharing economy system for the hospitality sector. I am also the Managing Director of PT Muslim Teknologi Indonesia. Prior to joining Surrey, I served as a lecturer (2015-2019) for the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Padjadjaran, in Bandung, Indonesia. I got my Master in Islamic Finance and Management from Durham University, UK (2014-2015; with a dissertation about Muslim-friendly tourism under the supervision of Professor Mehmet Asutay, and also supported by the LPDP Scholarship Programme). In 2011-2014, I was a Sales and Product Management at PT Bank BTPN Tbk. (where I was the best graduate of their Management Trainee programme). I received my Master in Tourism in 2013 from the Graduate School of Trisakti Institute of Tourism under the supervision of Professor Azril Azahari (Beasiswa Unggulan Scholarship). In 2008-2011, I was the Director of PT Solitech Indopro (Event Management & IT Consultant). My Bachelor’s degree is in Management (with a concentration in Finance) from the University of Padjadjaran Bandung, Indonesia.
